Meta Test Engineer in Zurich, Switzerland

Summary:

The Test Engineer for System Verification integrates complex software and hardware components and delivers test infrastructure that can be scaled across Meta’s VR/MR/AR products. You will drive the development and deployment of new test methodologies into product bringup and factory test processes. You will be heavily involved in troubleshooting issues on equipment and automation systems. You will help define the overall test strategy, evaluate equipment and qualification processes, and lead integration of test systems into our existing data management networks. You will analyze risks and drive decisions which balance test quality and project efficiency.

Required Skills:

Test Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and drive cross-functional decisions on hardware and software development and architecture.

  2. Validation of test firmware/software releases, including repeatability testing, and coordinate SW quality metrics.

  3. Troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a software and hardware perspective in full autonomy.

  4. Work closely with other functional groups (systems engineers, software/firmware engineers, project managers) to define and execute a comprehensive test strategy for new AR/MR/VR products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience in developing complex hardware/software test solutions utilizing both internal and third-party vendors.

  2. Experience with scripting language Python.

  3. Demonstrated experience designing and executing development projects with a design of experiment approach (DOE) to service, troubleshoot, and solve engineering problems.

  4. English language proficiency and team collaboration skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with experience as a test engineer in high volume consumer electronics or related field.

  2. Experience with camera, sensor, LED or display testing and calibration.

  3. Experience in factory tests and calibrations for consumer electronics products for NPI and mass production.
