We are looking for an intern to join the Interactive Avatar team - one of the teams behind the NVIDIA Omniverse™ Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE). ACE is a suite of real-time AI solutions for end-to-end development and deployment of interactive avatars and digital human applications: https://developer.nvidia.com/omniverse/ace As a member of our team, you will work alongside highly skilled and motivated engineers, scientists, and artists to drive architecture, core-technology and features.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work on interactive avatar technologies from animation to computer vision and contribute new features for ACE microservices and tools. The Interactive Avatar team works on a wide wide range of topics, and we would tailor the internship to your skills and interests. Possible topics could include:

• Automatic camera motion generation for interactive avatar experiences.

• Convert movie scripts into an interactive avatar experience.

• Microservice performance monitoring and optimization.

• Import/export plugins from e.g. Maya to ACE

• Collaborate closely with development teams in Santa Clara to build software with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, security and sustainability.

What we need to see:

• Pursuing MSc. or are PhD student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, with some courses followed in the area of computer graphics, machine learning, rendering, visualization, signal processing, dialog management, or networking.

• A strong interest in avatars and interactive experiences.

• Hands-on coding skills with Python or C/C++.

• Proficient in English and good communication skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• You love avatars or you have an eye for visuals or even better - both!

• Experience in working in real-time applications such as animation, rendering, or computer vision is a big plus.

• Experience with cloud applications.

• Exposure to natural language processing (NLP).

• You have a flair for user experience!
