What You Can Expect

The Hubco Accounting Analyst Swiss GAAP FER and Pillar II will be main responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of Swiss Principle, Zimmer GmbH (Hubco including 4 Branches) as well as for 4 Swiss Holding entities under Swiss GAAP FER and Pillar II requirements. This leads building bridge from GAAP/CH GAAP to Swiss GAAP FER requirements, ensure monthly adjustments, assess regularly valuations of various BS positions according to FER standard. Prepares various calculation of OCI and carry forward balances and support the resolution of discrepancies and issues, data form and cash flow analytics. Participate in process improvement, data analysis, and ensuring compliance to Zimmer Biomet policies and procedures. On acquisitions and divestitures, the accounting lead represent Hubco Finance as SME to ensure smooth integration under the Swiss GAAP FER standard.

How You'll Create Impact

• Preparation of all financial reporting (Local and to Corporate) in compliance with Swiss and Corporate reporting requirements, standards, SWISS GAAP FER and controls (end to end responsible)

• Prepare monthly bridge postings for Swiss GAAP FER and Pillar II requirements.

• Prepare quarterly tax calculation and tax compliance tasks under Pillar II

• Reviews complex accounting journals (e.g. provisions, dividends, taxes, royalties, rebates etc.) and asses Swiss GAAP FER and Pillar II treatment

• Prepared complex onetime journals not prepared by the outsourcer

• Prepare monthly calculations and reconciliation of OCI balances maintained in books of records according to Swiss GAAP FER requirements

• Leading the preparation of Swiss GAAP FER cashflow statement Cash flow

• Prepare Swiss GAAP FER Financial Statements for all Swiss entities.

• Responsible for correct Pension Fund accounting under Swiss GAAP FER

• Overlooking Swiss GAAP FER Framework, coordination of yearly update

• Leading and coordinating internal and external audits

• Prepare or review authority reporting

• Ensure proper payroll accounting and account reconciliation (Share based payments)

• Drive automation and digitalization and standardization of Hubco SCO and Swiss GAAP FER Financial Statements preparation

• Support local Controller in various ad-hoc accounting topics and projects

• Assistance on M&A and IT projects and Hubco supply chain integrations and Swiss GAAP FER coverage on accounting treatment

What Makes You Stand Out

• Set up and maintain Swiss GAAP FER accounting structure including SAP/IT including Financial Statements, Notes, Cashflow

• Strong SAP experience in various modules like AP, AR, GL, SD

• Swiss GAAP FER in depth knowledge

• Experience managing time to meet deadlines and corporate reporting schedules

• Very strong analytical skills and strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP and Swiss GAAP and Swiss GAAP FER is a plus

• Strong understanding of Swiss Tax landscape

• Understanding of Pillar II tax environment

• Strong forward and process thinking skills and good understanding of system functionalities.

Your Background

• Commercial Apprentice or similar education

• B.S. in accounting, finance or related field is a plus

• Minimum of 10 years of experience required in finance or accounting.

• Previous experience working in a Shared Services/GBS environment an advantage

• CPA or equivalent required is a plus.

• Swiss GAAP FER certification

• Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP and other regional and global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, IASB).
