This position reports into the VP End to End Supply Chain Essential and Skin Health EMEA and is based in Zug, Switzerland.

What You Will Do

The Director Regional Essential Health Planning is responsible for leading and developing the overall supply planning process and strategy in the region across its extensive network of internal and external sitesin EMEA. The role is directly responsible for delivering supply reliability and optimized inventory levels while driving flexibility & agility to meet changing market/customer requirements for the portfolio of franchises under his/her scope (Femcare, Oral Care, Baby, etc). The Director will have responsibility for plant planning for specified internal sites covering SNP, MRP and scheduling.

The Director will ensure the team works flawlessly across regional functions, in-market teams, toll manufacturing facilities, external manufacturers (EMs) and raw & packing material (RPM) suppliers. Critically, this role ensures planning process adherence, master data & transactional data accuracy, SOX compliance and system usage (OMP and SAP) through capability building, governance & continuous improvement. Overall this role has accountability to ensure the operational connection and integration across all supply chain functions for the respective value streams and requires technical mastery in both planning systems and processes.

This role is pivotal in connecting commercial and supply chain functions, driving prudent business decisions, strategic direction and managing cost, working capital and service balancing as required.

The Director will have custody of a large and diverse regional team and will need to continuously identify and build talent to ensure capable management of a rapidly changing business environment.

This individual will be an active member of the EH-SH SC leadership team and the Essential Health Regional Team, responsible for developing strategic plans and leading and/or supporting key regional or global initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for customer service & supply reliability which includes supply risk identification, escalation, mitigation and product supply prioritization.

  • Accountable for plant planning (SNP, MRP, Scheduling ) across EH internal sites. Own the RCCP process (short to mid-term volume review, plant capacity utilization & prioritization).

  • Owns inventory management & optimization. This covers entitlement model & safety stock review & approval of exceptions (e.g. pre-builds, slob governance and continuous improvement.

  • Supports new product development & introduction, product/packaging changes, regulatory compliance initiatives, supply network changes and product acquisitions ensuring flawless execution of supply planning across these initiatives.

  • Partners closely with the plant leadership team ensuring alignment on goals & objectives, priorities, initiatives that impacts the site and the franchise.

  • Connects and collaborate with regional cross functional teams and in-market SC teams in managing & shaping our FG supply points (J&J internal sites, external manufacturing), RPM suppliers, logistic providers to drive reliability, agility & flexibility across our value streams

  • Partners with the Global Process Excellence (GPEx) team in ensuring planning process, systems, master data & metric integrity & relevance. Drive governance, continuous improvement and organizational capability building. Connects with Global Plan, Enterprise Center of Excellence (COE) to share & leverage best practices, competencies & tools.

  • Supplier On-Time Delivery (SOTD)

Other Dimensions:

Compliance to worldwide, regional and local polices eg. GMP/Quality, Policy of Business Conduct, Healthcare Compliance, SOX, etc.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree.

  • A minimum of 10 years of general business experience with a solid experience in managing end to end Supply Chain roles. A direct Supply Chain planning experience and supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Experience with several of the following processes: inventory management, supply chain management, supply planning, sales and operations planning, and process excellence (e.g. Lean, Six-Sigma), and systems (e.g. SAP R/3, APO, BW).

  • Proven business acumen in the areas of Supply Chain, Commercial and financials. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Experience with organizational change management, establishing teams, and developing communication strategy and fostering collaboration is preferred.

  • Experience in a multi-echelon supply chain is preferred.

  • The ability to negotiate and influence without authority in a matrix organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist.

  • Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels.

  • A self- starter with proven cycles of success, who has the ability to effectively manage projects, multiple priorities, timelines and change management.

  • Ability to coach & develop accountable, diverse and leaders who inspire and motivate others to realize the company's strategies and goals.

  • A strong communicator with to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.

  • Demonstrates integrity, inspires trust and avoids conflict of interest.
