    Primary Role : The MRP and Inventory Specialist role is the IFS ERP site expert supporting the

    operations and scheduling/planning team. The role is responsible to ensure accurate reporting within

    the ERP in areas such as inventory receipts, production reporting, consumption reporting, shipments,

    cycle counts, master data, scheduling and other functions required to ensure data integrity and

    timeliness of transactions. This role will support, perform, or be the backup for inventory management

    and planning/scheduling for the site. The role will also become the expert and be the train the trainer to

    help onboard and train new and existing employees how to execute transactionally effectively and

    accurately within the ERP.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support/Execute as required the daily schedule and optimize production to meet customer commitments based on order priorities within the ERP system. Run MRP and other functional tools within IFS to help create the optimal schedule for costs and service.

  • Communicate shortages of raw material, staffing, maintenance that may impact customer schedules. Update ERP to reflect correct schedule.

  • Enter or support operations personnel to enter raw material consumptions, labor hours, and production output within the ERP system. Ensure data accuracy.

  • Review material/labor yield variances within the ERP, and either correct or capture data to explain discrepancy.

  • Enter or support the entry into the ERP: material receipts, indirect consumptions, put aways, material movements, scrapping, quality hold, and other various material transactions.

  • Understand capacity and throughput capability in alignment with order intake. Actively work to manage production capabilities in alignment with product forecasting.

  • Works closely with Logistics on coordination of delivery to the customer. Works with shipping or supply chain managers on shipping capability as a capacity limitation when planning lead times and customer commitment dates. Ensure accurate reporting of shipping, including weekly and month end reports within the ERP system.

  • Works closely with buyer planner and inventory coordination on purchased materials and in-house produced parts. Establishes daily communication to understand inventory levels, stock outs and impact to scheduling.

  • Communicates as required between various functions including customer service, logistics, planning, management, office personnel, sales, and engineering.

  • Supports plant Inventory management process and cycle counting logic within ERP and data reporting and reconciliation.

  • Perform buyer/planner activities as required as backup for staffing to ensure efficient stocking levels of raw material inventory.

  • Set Stocking target levels (SS) based on usage and forward-looking master schedule.

  • Lead improvement initiatives/projects, create documentation and training materials, support site ERP transformation.

  • Support intra-plant transfers and inventory requirements to fulfill customer orders.

  • Become site ERP expert in IFS. Responsible for employee training, access, and support for a successful digital transformation.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred, APICS certification plus.

  • Experience >5 years scheduling/planning, inventory management, or operations management

  • IFS experience preferred; >5 years MRP and ERP experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of progressive responsibility and with excellent results

  • Very strong analytical skills; High proficiency with Xcel and various computer applications. Quick learner of new software. Microsoft Power BI desired.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organized, analytical and detail oriented.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all functions.
