Oracle Principal Software Developer / Systems integration in ZAPOPAN, Mexico
Job Description
Job responsibilities/tasks
Lead Exadata Manageability project phases cradle to grave working with developers and PMs across orgs through requirements definition, review, and approval, release planning including dependencies, functional spec review, development support, testing, evaluation and review with early adopter customers, and evangelism of the features together with Exadata, EM, and O&M PMs internally across customer facing teams, and externally with customers directly and through user groups.
Support other related team activities, including
Participate in related project phased development efforts led by other team members
Participate in Exadata Manageability Certification
Joint ownership of Enterprise Manager MAA HA/DR level design,
Define and maintain best practices and technical briefs on Exadata manageability and manageability HA/DR
Evaluate EM and O&M manageability solutions for applicability to Exadata customers
Manage internal team systems
Share environments with and support development teams working to address bugs, enhancement requests, and phased projects
Prototyping solutions
Support short- and long-term customer engagements on MAA and Exadata manageability topics

Responsibilities
Required skills
Degree level: BS with major in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or BA with minor in Computer Science/technical field
Strong interpersonal communication
Strong teamwork
Systems integration and/or systems engineering experience
Script development (Shell, Python, etc.)
Data analysis (SQL)
Strong troubleshooting skills
Software installation/administration/troubleshooting
Desired experience (with some of the below)
Database administration
Full lifecycle software development
System design, architecture
Exadata and Exadata Cloud manageability
Enterprise manager installation/administration/usage
High availability, Disaster recovery
Requirements definition
