The Operations Engineer – Release Engineering is a technical hands-on role focused on providing delivery automation services using the latest technology stacks and best practices to maximize the value of Oracle Fusion Applications, from source code onto the cloud.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement operation guides detailed and efficiently.

  • Demonstrate quick learning ability and partnership.

  • Apply Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles for cloud-based web applications.

  • Possess a clear conceptual understanding of Release Engineering.

  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, Amazon etc.

  • Knowledgeable about secure coding principles.

  • Advocate for pipeline-as-code methodology.

  • Experience in development, testing, and systems automation.

  • Ensure fully automated end-to-end delivery cycles.

  • Propose ideas for process improvement

Preferred Additional Domain Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic) and other Fusion Middleware products.

  • Proficiency in micro-services, understanding of Oracle Database (RDBMS) concepts

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, including development and testing methodologies, and change configuration management practices.

  • Expertise in source code management.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Operate a next-generation, fully automated cloud software delivery pipeline.

  • In-depth understanding of source code management concepts and experience with modern systems (e.g., git).

  • Strong scripting skills (Groovy, Go, Python, Linux shell scripting, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Linux environments, especially Oracle Linux.

  • Experience with CI release engineering tools (e.g., Jenkins/Hudson, Maven/Gradle), and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Shape processes, platforms, and tools for software and configuration changes.

  • Provide comprehensive updates, anticipating additional needs.

  • Ability to implement projects with high-level direction.

  • Identify and implement improvements to the software delivery pipeline, emphasizing Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and automation.

  • Handle Release Engineering activities to ensure the successful delivery of Oracle Fusion Applications from source code to the cloud.

  • B.E./BTech/MTech in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of release engineering experience.

  • Excellent communication skills, conveying technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences.
