Kemin Industries Operations Lead in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico

Overview

Kemin is seeking a talented and dedicated Operations Lead for our Zapopan facilities. The operations lead is responsible for coordinating and executing the warehouse activities and security processes, ensuring compliance with the GMP and GSP. The leader must also ensure the implementation and follow-up of best storage and manufacturing practices. This role provides support by handling the forklift and pallet jack for loading and unloading trucks and documenting evidence of the status in which the product is shipped. The successful candidate shall coordinate the warehouse equipment, tools, and facilities maintenance activities. He must also coordinate the dispatch of orders, indicating to the warehouser the activities to be carried out during the day.

The incumbent is expected to exercise careful consideration when performing their job. They are expected to follow instructions, specific procedures and protocols, and policies to ensure the highest quality of product and a safe work environment. This is an on-site position and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Managing orders in the system in accordance with Customer Service requirements.

  • Maintain processes and document possible deviations.

  • Coordinate and execute security processes within the warehouse.

  • Ensure the implementation and follow-up of best storage and manufacturing practices.

  • Coordinate the warehouse equipment, tools, and facilities maintenance activities.

  • Validate the documentation of the carriers.

  • Review the shipments processed.

  • Responsible for receiving customer returns of damaged products.

  • Handling the forklift and pallet jack for loading and unloading trucks.

  • Coordinate information between shipping/receiving, Customer Service, and other departments within Kemin in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.

  • Perform computer entry of finished goods.

  • Inventory cycle counts.

Qualifications

  • An intermediate level of English is Required. The second interview will be conducted in English.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a warehouse leader or supervisor or operations lead.

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience (food-grade background desired).

  • 3-5 years of forklift experience.

  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) background.

  • Good Storage Practices (GSP) background.

  • Computer knowledge.

  • Ability to lift and move 55 lbs.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

    A post-offer background check and drug screen is required. Additional pre-employment requirements may be necessary based on position.
