POSITION: Technician Apprentice LOCATION: Dexter, MI COMPENSATION: $18.00 Hourly SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday STANDARD HOURS: 7:00am-3:30pm *OVERTIME FLEX HOURS (NOT-MANDATED): *5:00am-5:00pm

  • Disassemble machines and inventory components.
  • Clean chassis and components using various processes.
  • Examine cleaned components for defects, and repair or replace as necessary.
  • Paint and perform other refinishing processes.
  • Reassemble machines and perform operational inspections and tests.
  • Records job time, supplies used.
  • Perform routine shop housekeeping and maintenance duties.
  • Perform delivery and installation of equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented verbally and in writing.
  • Operate power tools.
  • Experience with MIG welding and/or electrical work is a plus.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Strong verbal & written skills
  • Follow work orders.
  • Labor reporting for equipment being repaired.
  • Monitor inventory movement, logistics, identify and lead the process.
  • Perform daily counts of materials to ensure inventory accuracy on the manufacturing floor/plant warehouse.
  • Fill and account for material requisitions.
  • Assist in tracking and filling backorders as parts/components become available.
  • Ensure the correct balances are maintained by the performance of Cycle Counts
  • Restock shelves with incoming material from various sources and locate the material in the computerized system.  

Other/Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift to 85lbs.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic hand tools: pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.
  • Must be able and willing to accept instruction from others with an open mind and positive attitude.
  • Good problem-solving skills, and ability to think ahead.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Work outdoors in cold weather when necessary.
