Job Summary:

Klinge Corporation, a Portfolio Brand of Trane Technologies and the World’s Leading Manufacturer of Specialized Refrigerated Transport Containers, in York, PA, is hiring for a Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will function as sales leader for business sold through the Equipment, Services and Satellite revenue streams. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with direct customers, strategic partners and in channels within the Trane Technologies business units. Sales constitutes all the processes and functions required for obtaining inside/outside sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for greater than $30M in Revenue in a fast-paced growth business.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

What you will do:

  • Overall responsibility for the following functions: customer and sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, setting quotas, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane Technologies sales tools and systems.

  • Responsible for achieving annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share.

  • Assemble high performance teams and interact with Account Managers with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios.

  • Lead a team of 5+ people and manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching Account Managers’ effectiveness and efficiency in relation to project attainments, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.

  • Maintain friendly, cooperative relations with customers, vendors, company personnel and management.

  • Follow all Company policies and procedures throughout the office.

  • Demonstrate the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.

  • Anticipate problems and provide contingency plans and recommendations.

  • Organize personal schedule to maximize productivity and time management.

  • Perform other tasks or assignments as delegated by the Engineering Manager and/or COO or their designate.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role.

  • Overall knowledge of refrigerated transport and cold chain solution sales, service, installation

  • Experiencing the development and execution of distribution and marketing plans and programs.

  • Team skills, both as a leader and team member.

  • Strong planning, organizational and delegation skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Effective negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Access

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:

  • DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $ 110,000-$150,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
