BAE Systems is seeking an experienced supply chain professional for the position of Director, P&S Sector Supply Chain. This position reports directly to the Sector Vice President of Supply Chain in a supply chain organization responsible for $2b in annual outsourced requirements for the Platforms & Services Sector. With over 700 supply chain professionals, the P&S Sector supply chain team spans multiple locations in the United States, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. There is significant collaboration among the supply chain leads of each of the sector s business areas, encompassing a broad range of technologies and requirements.
The Director of Supply Chain is a critical leadership position responsible for assisting the VP of Supply Chain in managing and improving the end-to-end supply chain process. This role involves developing and implementing strategies with and for the 6 diverse business units within the sector to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely delivery of products and services to our customers.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid/remote work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely; travel is expected at 50% but may surge during certain times.
Location/Schedule/Travel:
This position will be a Hybrid role where you will work onsite on average 3 days per week, based on business needs
The ideal location is to be based out of York, PA or Falls Church, VA; however there may be consideration for other South-East P&S locations
The role requires 25 -50% of travel, depending on business demands
Travel will mainly be domestic though there may be opportunity for international travel
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the VP of Supply Chain to set functional goals and strategies
Utilize broad Supply Chain Management knowledge to lead business projects and initiatives
Lead strategic planning to meet long term transformation goals
Oversee the organization s supply chain risk management approach
Collaborate with our IT and Analytics partners to establish our long-term supply chain technology integration strategy
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to supply chain professionals to drive performance and achieve objectives
Work with the supply chain Business Unit leads to analyze and optimize supply chain processes related primarily to material planning, material handling, warehouse management, and logistics to minimize waste and enhance overall efficiency
Develop and maintain key industry and internal relationships
Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Supplier Quality, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc. to align supply chain activities with company goals
Prepare and present supply chain reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations for improvement
Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts
Foster and grow relationships cross-functionally to influence and lead solution-oriented strategies, with a focus on logistics and materials management aspects of the supply chain function
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, support change management, and challenge the status quo to drive competitive advantage in the areas of material planning, material handling, warehouse management, and logistics

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of directly related work experience or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Experience in Supply Chain Management and Leadership in a DoD manufacturing environment
Broad experience in Supply Chain including Material or Operations Planning, Material Handling, Logistics, etc.
Experience in large-scale, matrix Aerospace and Defense, Government Contracting, or DoD Manufacturing environments
Ability to ensure compliance with Defense industry regulations and understand the role of the supply chain in this complex industry
Ability to lead major supply chain efforts in a Department of Defense (DOD) contracting environment
Experience in Strategic Planning and Solutions Development to meet long term transformation goals
Experience in Continuous Improvement and Change Management with the ability to challenge the status quo
Experience in Program/Project Management to support and improve performance to meet objectives
Experience in Cross-Functional Leadership, Stakeholder Management, and Influencing
Excellent Communication, Relationship Management, and Interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across different functions and departments
Exceptional Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead through influence
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills, with ability to lead small teams and make data-driven decisions
Fast learner with a make it happen attitude
Strong Business and Financial Acumen; demand planning, S&OP management, and EAC preparation experience ideal
Experience with Supply Chain Software and technologies, such as ERP, MRP, CLM, and/or S2P systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related
Professional or Supply Chain Certification: CPM, CPSM, PMP, or similar
Experience in Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Material/Operations Planning, Material Handling, and/or Logistics
Experience in leading Material or Operations Planning, Material Handling, and/or Logistics functions in an EU / UK-based International contracting environment
Experience in Program Management and Controls
Experience in Lifecycle Management (LCM) or Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience in Deltek Cost Point, Oracle or SAP ERP Systems, or Supply Chain Process Automations
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $151300 - $257200
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
