DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Demonstrates effective and professional communication skills  * Directs departmental performance measures with Supervisor, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to Supervisor  * Provides leadership  * Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor (in regards to the production line), except for hiring, discipline, and discharging of employees  * Work towards continuously improving housekeeping, safety, and productivity, and supports an environment that empowers employees  * Responsible for fabrication of wooden crates to ship, job cleanups, small job parts and orders  * Loads windows and accessories  * Ensure the product is packaged safely within the crate to minimize possibility of damage  * Ensure all shipping documents are completed and accurate  * Assist in loading trailers when crating duties are complete  * Other duties as assigned

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  * Leadership experience  * Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word  * Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks  * Team player  * Ability to accurately read tape measure  * Ability to use hand tools and powered pallet trucks
