Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Sr Sales Finance Analyst in Yokohama, Japan

Key Responsibilities:
Review contracts for consistency with deal structure and deal-approval requirements.
Engage in business partnering with Account Sales team to provide advice on deal structure and business models for commercial agreements in Japan.
Support Account Sales team to drive deal-approval matrix and manage different dynamics to strive for better deal quality while wining customers.
Review VAR orders and handle VAR licensing requests to support local VAR business.
Perform different kinds of financial analysis and simulations relating to ad-hoc requests.
Provide presentation materials and supporting analysis required for booking/ revenue/ cash forecast and quarterly business review meeting with ad-hoc requests.
Drive standardization and simplification of analysis processes to make forecast more reliable and visible.
Participate in cross sector finance projects to improve the current quote-to-cash processes.
Work with different functional teams throughout the quote-to-cash process to support deal closing and ensure compliance with company’s booking policy.
Develop subject matter expertise in different quote-to-cash processes and disciplines with a view to establishing best practices and in-depth knowledge.
Collaborate with revenue accounting team to deep dive deal background and help on scheduling revenue recognition and help on MEA assessment in accordance with ASC606.
Position Requirements:
4-to-6-year experience in FP&A / Financial Analyst role
Native level Japanese and fluent in English (written and verbal)
Minimum Bachelor's Degree (major in Accounting / Finance preferred)
Advanced Excel skills such as building and applying advanced formulas, like VLOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH, being familiar with Macro-enabled Excel, and knowing what Pivot Table is and how to build one
Ability to multi-task in a result driven business environment, meeting the deadline and work under pressure
Must be a strong team player
Competency Requirements:
Experience in supporting Sales organization
Working experience in MNC or regional role
Positive, with a can-do attitude, but realistic and not afraid to say no
