    Job Summary

  • The Admissions Specialist II is accountable for accurate and timely registration of all patients while performing all necessary procedures to establish accounts and medical record numbers.

  • The Admissions Specialist II verifies insurance coverage and limitations.

  • The Admissions Specialist II is responsible for collection of deductibles/co pays and coinsurance, and directing patients/families to the Business office/Financial Counselors for payment assistance options, and assisting patients/families/visitors with requests and questions.

  • The Admissions Specialist II may contact Patient Access Pre-arrival if the patient is not scheduled or to assure that prior authorization and precertification is completed for some outpatient procedures.

  • The Admissions Specialist II operates the switchboard for the hospital, provides paging services for hospital staff and medical staff, and responds to emergencies according to hospital emergency plans.

    Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
