A Design Quality Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company’s products meet consumer expectations and adhere to quality standards.

Here are some key responsibilities of a Design Quality Manager:

  1. Oversee hardware and system design performance and inspect products throughout the production process to ensure conformity.

  2. Develop quality control processes and design product specifications review cadence.

  3. Ensure products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.

Project Leadership:

  1. Lead design projects from concept to completion.

  2. Improve design processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

  3. Set up the Design Review and technical risk assessment process in engineering team

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  1. Communicate design quality principles clearly.

  2. Determine whether corrective actions are necessary to address design quality issues.

  3. Maintaining product excellence and customer satisfaction!

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide resources to provide independent testing and assessment based on MRS

  • Provide resources to conduct product design review and quality improvement alignment

  • Development of advanced virtual technology for design quality improvement

  • Develop the System validation engineering strategy and align with ATVS team

  • Develop the common quality assessment tool kits for product development needs, special for Hardware and Mechanical

  • Handles recruitment, training, and performance reviews of subordinate staff.

  • Setup close relationship with Quality function and align the common operation cadence

  • Seeks and creates learning opportunities for global engineering and quality teams, including presentations, technology visits, training, and individual mentoring.

  • Setup reliable link with the Electrical sector CoE team for platform development

  • Stays current with the latest technologies and business trends and actively supports development of technology roadmaps for the Division.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master degree

  • At least 10 years’ experience of the power electronic field;

  • At least 5 years’ experience for engineering strategy and platform management experience, hardware and mechanical

  • Technical skills required: Power Electronics, System Safety, Mechanical, Failure Analysis, Risk Management

  • Managerial skills required: Coach, plan, target setting, performance review, Good communication, Strategy thinking, Change management

  • Process: Pro-Launch, DFSS

  • Skill: DFSS tool implement, Problem resolved, HR tools, Training, Presentation

  • Language: writing and oral English level
