Who will you be working with?

As a member of the Elastomers Group, the successful candidate will work with management, engineering and manufacturing personnel to improve processes, support the implementation of new business processes.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Elastomer Group in the Components Team, you will be responsible for the development of time standards for production operations and to provide cost estimates for new industrial rubber products and to improve productivity and costs through industrial engineering principles. This position is also accountable for applying lean manufacturing principles and coordinating QPS activities.

This role reports to the General Manager. Remote work is not available.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Possess the ability to express ideas in effective verbal and graphic presentations and be imaginative, versatile, and capable of employing a high degree of tact and diplomacy in dealing with personnel at all levels.

  • Must have demonstrated experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies.

  • Must be very proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

  • Some travel will be required

  • Ability to work within deadlines and work independently

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work under time constraints

  • Work with minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or its equivalent in education

  • Experience in Rubber Manufacturing Production Processing environment preferred

  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

What about the physical demands of the job?

  • Ability to work on manufacturing floor as well as office environment

  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 hour period

  • Occasionally bend; stoop; and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (less than 2 hours/8 hour work day)

  • Frequently stand; walk; talk; hear; use hands and fingers to handle; reach with hands and arms (up to 6-hours/8 hours day)
