Fairview Health Services Medical Assistant / LPN - Wyoming Lakes Clinic in Wyoming, Minnesota

Overview

M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant at the Wyoming Lakes Primary Care Clinic located in Wyoming, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Wyoming Lakes Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic hours are 7AM to 6PM Monday - Thursday and 7AM - 5PM on Fridays, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!

This position is eligible for a $4000 Sign On Bonus!

This is a 0.6 FTE (48 hours per two week pay period) opening and is benefits-eligible.

The tentative schedule for this opening is: Monday 630AM - 5PM, Thursday 8AM-330PM, and Fridays 7hr floating shift (typically 630AM-2PM). Subject to change based on clinic needs.

Responsibilities Job Description

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will gather information and documents to support the patient visit. The medical assistant is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting teamwork with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

  • Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN, to assigned patient population, or individual patient.

  • Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, patient/family preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner and other health care team members.

  • Effectively communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.

  • Documents care in the medical record.

  • Partners with patient/care-giver in care/decision making

  • Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN is required.

  • Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambulatory Care Experience is preferred.

  • AAMA Certification is preferred.

  • Ability to adapt to change and engage in ongoing process improvement
