SUMMARY: 

Management Business Solutions is seeking a *Human Services Coordinator* for its client in *Traverse City, MI*. The individual will assist those facing various challenges and ensure access to essential support services. Working within a community response system, they'll identify people in need, connect them with resources, and support program placements. The coordinator will help overcome barriers while fostering preventive strategies for long-term stability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and safety policies.
• Provide outreach, evaluations, and stability-focused case management for individuals transitioning from unstable living situations, while assisting them in accessing emergency shelter and support services.
• Develop budget plans while teaching life skills for stability.
• Assist with applications, employment, and public assistance.
• Coordinate with property owners to prevent displacement and represent clients' interests.
• Organize social, educational, and community activities for clients.
• Support program planning, development, and implementation.

• Assist with grant writing, reporting, and program improvements.

   

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS diploma or GED required
• Familiarity with local housing services, community resources, and agencies.
• CPR/First Aid certified.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; must be insurable and obtain a Chauffeur's license within 30 days if not already held.
• Previous experience in counseling, social services, or substance abuse support.
• Skilled in crisis de-escalation, conflict resolution, and case documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

• Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations preferred.
