Our Engineering team, known as GPM, is a part of GE that is focused on supporting the Performance Materials division of BASF and the Wyandotte Site. Our technical expertise is used to support both the daily operations and strategic developments for the production plants, R&D facilities, and Site utilities and infrastructure.

As a Technical Document/CAD Coordinator, you create chemistry by…

• Demonstrating your knowledge and experience with P&IDs, proficiency in CAD tools like MicroStation, AutoCAD, Smart Plant P&ID, and MS Office 365 suite, you will provide drafting services to the GEC/GPM engineering team and greater Wyandotte Site.

• Playing a vital role in how technical documentation is facilitated between internal and external parties through various projects, updates, and maintenance work, to keep our information accurate, complete, and up to date

• Managing the process of stand-alone drawing updates for on-demand changes and improvements from various departments. Ensuring that the requests are received, distributed, and completed in a timely and accurate fashion.

• Engaging with the GE North American Technical Network to play an active role in the drafting and design community for professional, personal, and organizational growth

If you...

• Have a minimum of 5 years of direct work-experience with technical drawings, as a drafter, designer, or engineer who is familiar with technical drawings from various engineering disciplines

• Are familiar with different drawing types, and the information that they commonly use, such as: Process drawings (PFDs, P&IDs), Mechanical drawings (equipment drawings, piping isometrics), Electrical drawings (one-lines, panels, and loops),and Civil/Structural/Architectural drawings (building/equipment layouts, elevations, site plans, surveys, utility distribution drawings)

• Are a capable 2D/3D designer/drafter in either the Bentley or AutoDesk platforms, who is capable of working with both drawing content as well as internal file attributes/structures (layers, x-ref, etc.)

• Are a clear communicator – have the ability to work with individuals/groups within the organization to achieve clear and concise communication.

• Have a demonstrated work-style that is organized, effective, open-minded, and maintains attention to detail.

• Are able to organize/prioritize a dynamic workload and provide direction to fellow team-members to keep the team on-task and on-time.
