Job Responsibilities

l Plan and optimize manufacturing processes for the mechanical plant's production lines to ensure efficiency and product quality.

l Design and improve jigs and fixtures, enhancing operational convenience and safety.

l Participate in the procurement process of tools and equipment, evaluating suppliers to guarantee quality while managing costs effectively.

l Organize trials of new tools and conduct training sessions, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

l Actively engage in projects related to manufacturing processes, driving technological innovation and implementation.

l Contributes to the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while contributing to teams.

l Assists with the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

l Contributes by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

l Assists with the development of manufacturing standards and working methods by using continuous improvement tools.

l Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.

l Learns the knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

Qualifications

Qualifications

l Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

l Personal Attributes: Strong learning appetite and capability, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

l Experience: Prior experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.

l Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.

l Ergonomic Fundamentals - Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.

l Industrial Engineering Knowledge - Integrates the pillars of industrial engineering techniques by applying a comprehensive and quantitative analysis to available data to be used as decision factors for the development or improvement of manufacturing processes to contribute to the most efficient process.

l Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

l Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

l Problem Solving - Solves problems using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.

l Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

l College, university, or equivalent degree required.

l This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

l Basic level of relevant work experience required.
