Boehringer Ingelheim Procurement Team Manager with German in Wrocław, Poland
THE POSITION

Tasks & responsibilities
As a Procurement Team Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leadership: Manage and supervise the procurement team. This includes hiring, training, evaluating, and providing guidance to team members.
Team Development: Mentor team members to ensure their professional growth.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies for both direct and indirect procurement that align with the company's goals.
Procurement Operations: Oversee the purchasing of goods and services. Ensure that all procurement activities comply with organizational policies and regulations.
Procurement Process Optimization: Craft and deploy effective procurement systems to boost operational productivity. Ensure adherence to guidelines, protocols, and regulatory documents. Utilize procurement technologies and tools to simplify procedures and enhance transparency of data.
Budget Management: Monitor procurement budgets and costs. Implement cost-saving measures where possible.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Foster the environment of continuous improvement within team.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze procurement performance metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure procurement activities meet their needs and expectations. Foster a collaborative environment and build a good relationship with Sourcing Organization.
About our future employee:
You should speak fluent English (B2+) and German (B2+).
Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with:
University degree – master degree
Experience in procurement/sourcing areas with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role,
Proficiency with Procurement software and ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba)
Strong knowledge of procurement/sourcing best practices, category management and supplier relationship management,
Strong focus on effective management of stakeholders,
Experience in process transition will be a great asset,
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
