Graduate Level Students & Social Work Students will be trained to provide diagnostic assessments, functional assessments, level of care determination, case management and treatment of individuals, families and groups. This includes all races, creeds, ethnicity, background or ability to pay in a Minnesota Department of Human Services certified 5 County Community Mental Health Center. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, students will be exposed to a variety of services and programs within and outside of the Center including: Psychiatric Evaluation Medication Testing Psychological Testing Telephone, on site and Mobile Face to Face Mental Health Crisis Response Services Adult intensive Residential Treatment Students will complete job shadowing until the intern is trained and comfortable to directly start seeing clients on their own. As well as discuss those cases in case consultation and discuss in individual supervision. Various methods & programs will be taught. Our practicum experience provides students a chance to become part of our organization, while educating them with new skill sets, practical experiences & networking within the industry.
