Provide self-paced, student lead, GED instruction to help students gain the skills and confidence to successfully complete their GED.

Job Responsibilities: o Prepare and provide individual and group instruction to improve skills and knowledge to pass the GED test. o Classes are afternoons and evenings in both Woodland Park and Cripple Creek. o Utilize innovative and creative strategies tailored to individual needs to ensure student progress within an effective and positive learning environment. o Assist with tracking student progress in databases as needed. o Serve as mentor / advocate for students. o Participates in a variety of meetings, including team, full staff, and additional organization meetings. o Communicate effectively with the program coordinator, students, and other staff members. o Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested with a sense of humor and team spirit.

Minimum Requirements: o Bachelor's degree in related field. o Two years of experience teaching or working with young adults. o The ability to remain calm and neutral when difficult communication occurs in the classroom. o Experience working with individuals / families from a wide spectrum of socio-economic backgrounds. o Knowledge of community resources and systems. o Ability to work in a team environment yet is self-directed, as required. o Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills. o Strong planning and organizational skills. o Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines. o Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite. o Reliable transportation and government issued identification. o Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, drug screen and motor vehicle record check. o Passion for the mission, vision, and values of Community Partnership
