Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Woodland Hills, California

Description We are seeking a Tax Manager - Public to join our team in our CPA firm located in Woodland Hills, California. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing taxation matters and providing expert advice to clients. This role involves interaction with clients, contributing to a well-rounded team environment, and working on corporate and partnership tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns.

• Interface with clients to understand their needs and provide comprehensive tax solutions.

• Utilize tax software such as Lacerte and CCH Sales Tax to manage and process client information.

• Apply knowledge of accounting functions and annual income tax provision in handling client accounts.

• Leverage skills in CaseWare and other relevant software to ensure accurate and efficient processing of tax-related matters.

• Contribute to the team's success by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues when needed.

• Maintain a high standard of service, ensuring client inquiries are resolved promptly and professionally.

• Monitor client accounts and take appropriate action based on their financial status and tax obligations.

• Keep up to date with industry trends and changes in tax laws to provide the most current advice to clients.

• Participate in firm's strategic planning and contribute to its growth and profitability. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a public CPA firm as a Tax Manager or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using tax software such as CaseWare and Lacerte Tax Software is required.

• Familiarity with CCH Sales Tax is necessary for handling various tax-related tasks.

• Must possess strong skills in accounting functions.

• Experience in managing annual income tax provision and annual tax provision is essential.

• Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• Must have the ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

• A strong understanding of tax codes, compliance, and procedures in the accounting industry is required.

• Must possess a high degree of detail oriented integrity and strong ethical values.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team is required.

• Must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

• Must have the ability to adapt to new software and technology that improves work efficiency.
