BIO RAD LABORATORIES - 390 Manufacturing Scientist I in Woodinville, Washington

As the Process Development Manufacturing Scientist I, you will support production by resolving complex manufacturing challenges and demonstrate advanced problem solving skills. You are a subject matter expert in the processes associated with immunoassays, both ELISA and bead-based including raw material qualification, bio-conjugation, and protein purification. This knowledge will be applied towards documenting non-conformances, deviation reports, and CAPAs independently to ensure compliance. How You'll Make An Impact: Develop a working knowledge of design control processes with an emphasis on process transfer. Follow standards procedures; originate process deviations based on process and procedure knowledge. Under guidance of Senior/Staff Scientist, execute design control process, transferring new products to manufacture and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Identify process/equipment gaps and work with engineers and/or senior/staff scientist to develop and implement solutions. Execute tasks related to design transfer per design control process. Develop experiments and tests, writing and exectuing protocols to qualify and validate manufacturing processes: analyze results, make recommendations and develop reports. Analyze and resolve basic manufacturing and compliance issues (e.g. CAPA, non-conformances, audit observations). Develop and edit training and technical production documentation to prevent production delays and loss of information. Interact with external representatives on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations/divisions. Exercise independent judgement in developing methods, validation techniques and evaluation criteria. Work in a team environment (QA, QC, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, Transfer) to investigation technical issues, implement process improvements and complete validations. What You Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Scientific field, in biologic and/or chemistry disciplines required 1 - 4 years' experience required in related industry required. Computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite. Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience preferred; Design of experiments (DoE) methods preferred. Proficient in documentation and effective communication (e.g., written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills. Possess fundamental knowledge of statistical techniques. Demonstrates a solid grasp of principles, theories, and concepts pertinent to manufacturing and science domains. Exhibits adept problem-solving abilities organizational prowess, and analytical and critical thinking skills. Displays sound understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work. Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $87,800 to $120,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing
