Aston Carter Accounting Manager in Woodinville, Washington

Job Title: Accounting ManagerJob Description

Manage day-to-day accounting activities and month-end close process. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information; execute judgment and ensure the right decisions are reached to accurately report financial results. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise accounting staff; ensure the team is appropriately structured and held accountable for delivering outcomes. Act as a key point of contact for external CPAs; manage preparation and support for review and federal tax return. Cost accounting responsibilities include calculating all product costs and driving improvements through analytics as well as providing financial reporting to Wine Making teams. Perform inventory valuations and reconcile the cased goods and bulk wine inventory in the subledger to the general ledger. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the bank. Review and file all local, state, and federal tax returns. Design and administer internal controls. Identify and implement accounting process and systems improvements working cross-functionally with other departments. Other tasks as directed.

Hard Skills

  • 6+ years of accounting experience including 2 years in managing people

  • Solid understanding of US GAAP

  • Experience with Sage Intacct

  • Advanced Excel skills

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

  • Curious; interested in getting into the detail of analysis

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Woodinville, Washington and some days remote.
