Primary Responsibilities

• In the role of Designer/EIT Water Resources, we'll count on you to:

* Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities

* Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations

* Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design

* Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies

* Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.

* EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Water Resources Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

* Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD.

* Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in surface water or related field.
• Experience using AutoCAD for mapping, design tasks, and drawing preparation.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis tools, modeling software with an interest in water, sewer and stormwater modeling.
• Experience with ArcGIS software with use in mapping and basic data analysis in support of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Experience in preparing subsurface utility engineering reports, construction stormwater management and erosion control plans and reports.
• Local candidates preferred.
