We are offering an opportunity for a Purchasing Agent based in Montvale, New Jersey. This role is integral to our operations, with a focus on managing purchasing activities and ensuring the smooth running of our purchasing department. This position is available as hybrid, offering a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the purchasing of materials and manage buying processes.

• Utilize ERP solutions

• Maintain and update accurate records of purchasing activities.

• Handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and tracking.

• Collaborate closely with the purchasing management team to optimize buying processes.

• Engage in component selection for various projects.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions if necessary.

• Process customer credit applications efficiently and accurately.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Proven experience as a Buyer and understanding of Buying Processes.

• Knowledge of Component Selection processes.

• Excellent Customer Service skills.

• Familiarity with Purchasing Activities, Purchasing Department operations, Purchasing Functions, Purchasing Management, and Purchasing Materials.

• Experience in Purchasing planning and Purchasing Procurement.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or relevant field is preferred.
