BMW Of North America Intern, Meeting and Event Coordinator in WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey

This is a full-time internship position for our Summer Rotation, from June 3, 2024 through August 16, 2024 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day meeting and event planning
Responsible for calling venues for availability, making dinner reservations as directed by the business, assisting Sr Planners with day-to-day follow-ups, budgeting, hotel rooming lists, and credit card invoices
Projects will be assigned as events are needed by the business
Review contracts based on BMW guidelines per policy / compliance
Create cost estimates and budgets for business owner and receive signed budget back prior to proceeding
Communicate any changes, additions, and/or deletions to hotels as provided by the business
Provide logistics as needed
Reconcile credit cards on a monthly basis

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $25.30

The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.20

The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or university
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application
Field of Study: Hospitality or related field
Must attach a copy of unofficial college transcript
Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)
Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
Computer skills in Microsoft products including Excel, Word & Power Point
Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
Ability to communicate with all levels of hierarchy
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
