Veralto Senior Staff Accountant in Wood Dale, Illinois

The Senior Staff Accountant will support the monthly accounting processes and the reporting to Veralto. This will including completing journal entries, assisting with the close of Oracle and loading data to Onestream, and reviewing submission from local accounting teams for accuracy prior to submission to Veralto.

Responsibilities:

  • Month-end Close: Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations

  • Business Partner : Collaborate Commercial and Functional leaders to support journal entry preparation

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze submissions from local accounting teams for reasonableness

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, and provide variance analysis to management.

  • Audit Support: Assist during audit activities by providing necessary documentation and support during financial audits.

  • Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounting operations.

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • CPA or CPA in process

  • 4+ years of experience in closing the books for multi- national corporation

  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with global financial consolidations

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
