Aston Carter HR Generalist in Wood Dale, Illinois

A reputable organization is looking to hire an HR Generalist!

Description:

•Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with designated business units to understand their unique needs, challenges, and objectives. Serve as a strategic partner, providing expert HR advice and support to managers and employees, promoting employee engagement and overall organizational success.

•Employee Relations: Manage employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on disciplinary actions or performance improvement plans. Offer advice on employee-related policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

•Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Partner with the recruitment team to support the talent acquisition process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection. Ensure a positive onboarding experience for new hires, facilitating orientation sessions and providing relevant information about company policies and benefits.

•Performance Management: Guide and coach managers on performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans. Assist in identifying training and development needs and coordinate appropriate learning opportunities.

•Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the HR team to administer compensation and benefits programs. Provide guidance on compensation structures, job evaluations, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment. Stay updated on market trends and best practices to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits packages.

•HR Policy and Compliance: Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs to employees and managers. Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising on any necessary updates or changes. Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with legal requirements and industry standards.

•Employee Engagement and Culture: Drive employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys, recognition programs, and other activities aimed at promoting a positive work environment. Collaborate with leaders to address employee feedback and develop strategies to enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

•HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR systems and data to generate meaningful insights and reports. Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven recommendations to enhance HR processes and practices.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field

•3-5 years within HR Business Partner or HR Generalist, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

•Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in North America.

•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

•Solid understanding of leave of absence, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.

•Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Payroll knowledge - won't be processing but can help assist filling gaps in the system if needed
