We're looking for a dynamic Senior HRBP with previous exposure or experience in supporting people strategy to assist in leading the delivery of a customer focused HR service across Collins HS Marston based in Wolverhampton.

In this exciting role you will provide HR generalist support and guidance to managers/leaders and employees at all levels, whilst developing solutions to people issues. Reporting into the Head of HR you will work in cohesion with the wider HR team and play a pivotal role in delivering our people goals/initiatives whilst supporting the Head of HR with people related projects and strategy.

It's imperative you have excellent interpersonal skills to ensure collaborative relationships are built with your stakeholders to drive and continue the progress made in implementing the People Strategy across our business.

You will be joining a fantastic team who will guide you when needed, work closely with you on driving continuous improvement activities & support your continued learning & development.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Act as a senior point of contact and subject matter expert on complex cases/initiatives, working closely with the HR team and HR support functions.

  • Business Partner with designated Value Streams to support the strategic people initiatives linked to the Business Plan.

  • Provide advice and support to the HR Partners/Administrators/TA in all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and benchmarking, onboarding and induction, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, personal development, engagement, and employee wellbeing whilst collaborating with relevant functional leads for dedicated advice.

  • Lead organisational transformation and change programmes, including restructuring, redundancies, variation of contracts of employment and TUPE.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, including directors, senior managers, employees and trade union representatives.

  • Develop and support the operations HRBP to embed a true workforce planning process to ensure we have the right people, in the right place with the right skills at the right time to maximise business delivery plans.

  • Influence, coach and mentor leaders in the delivery of best people practices and encourage a culture of manager/leader responsibility and accountability.

  • Proactively lead, manage and successfully deliver complex cross functional people projects across the organisation with specific timeframes and budget management.

  • In conjunction with Learning and Development, deliver where appropriate coaching and training in key people management practices including employee performance and capability issues, conflict management and absence management.

  • Lead talent planning and mapping discussion and effectively review talent pipelines to ensure future sustainability of talent is maintained and built into resource planning discussions.

  • Provide advice on current and new HR policies and procedures to managers/leaders and employees in collaboration with relevant COE.

  • Lead key feedback initiatives and drive the right culture through insights sessions and working groups.

    Essential skills:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. This includes the ability to listen & respond to stakeholders supporting them on difficult work-related challenges that may arise.

  • Previous experience or exposure in a HR Metrix organisation

  • Dynamic, collaborative ability to engage & work in areas of ambiguity.

  • Over 2 years’ experience working in a unionised manufacturing environment.

  • Level 7 CIPD Qualified or working towards

    Desirable skills :

  • Flexible outlook towards changing tasks and priorities shown by a willingness to undertake HR special projects as needed

  • Detail conscious, highly organised and able to plan effectively

  • Good understanding of HR regulations & policies

  • Previous experience in a similar environment or Matrix organisation would be advantageous.

  • Prior experience working in a unionised environment would be advantageous

  • Demonstrable background of working with HR systems and policies, providing advice and guidance at all levels

  • Knowledge of Lean & Policy Deployment tools
