Tecomet Manager, HR in Woburn, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing support to corporate employees in areas such as recruitment, employee development, employee relations, policy interpretation, belonging, and compensation. This role will also manage the annual merit review process and the annual performance review process for all employees.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the staffing process to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.

  • Assist in the creation of learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities

  • Maintain company pay structure by reviewing pay grades annually and adjusting as necessary. Oversee the annual merit increase process. Conduct market pricing when new jobs are created. Assist Plant HR Managers in developing compensation market adjustments as needed.

  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations

  • Oversee Tecomet’s annual performance management program to ensure reviews are done timely and tools/guidance for managers are kept up to date.

  • Maintain corporate organization charts

  • Design and facilitate Tecomet Together monthly meetings. Identify and organize at least one community outreach event each quarter.

  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Conduct exit interviews and stay interviews to help improve retention.

  • Work with functional leads on talent reviews and creating development plans for employees with potential.

  • Participate and/or lead in seeking/achieving resolutions to employee relations issues, e.g. complaints, harassment allegations

  • Collaborate with other HR Site Leaders on continuous improvement opportunities to create more efficient and effective programs and projects across the business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma and/or certificate in Human Resources Management

  • 5+ years of related HR work experience is required.

  • Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods, and best practices

  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of human resource IT systems

  • Prefer intermediate to advanced excel skills (pivot tables), PowerPoint presentations.

  • An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and consulting skills as well as excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally

  • Ability to work in person in an office setting
