A Facilities Operator B performs a variety of duties requiring general maintenance and laborer skills to service buildings, equipment and grounds. Works well in a team atmosphere. Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

1st shift - 6:00am – 2:30pm - Woburn, MA . This position is an onsite role.

What you will do:

  • Performs tasks such as but not limited to grounds keeping; snow operations; equipment setup; furniture moving; cement patching; floor tile/carpet tile installation; removal of flooring material; installation of cove base and similar products; maintains, repairs and installs roof top fall protection system (Garlock).

  • Works from verbal instructions, blueprints, sketches and layout drawings and performs standard millwright duties such as moving position, installing and setting up various types of assigned machine tools, production and test equipment. May assist in rigging as necessary.

  • Operates above equipment and moves material and product as assigned.

  • Assists skilled trades in delivery and removal of associated stock, material, equipment and construction debris.

  • Hang all wall-hung fixtures, such as, but not limited to, signs, pictures, mirrors, and similar items on masonry or brick.

  • Performs all duties contained in the Facilities Operator C classification as directed.

  • Creates stock list in conjunction with or reviewed with the group leader.

  • Notifies supervision when major and extensive repairs or modifications are necessary.

  • Maintains a clean work area.

  • Performs general maintenance and daily housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.

  • Maintains records, moves materials, and follows safety rules in performance or duties.

  • Performs other similar duties as required or directed.

  • Machines, Tools, and Equipment used, includes but not limited to: Skid steers, Industrial powered trucks, aerial/scissor lifts, step ladders, extension ladders, pallet trucks, hand trucks, dump trucks, tractors , power shovels, snow blower, lawnmower, battery chargers, chainsaws, chain falls, pole saws, pry bars, block and tackles staging and lifts, skids, jackhammers, ladders, abrasives, solvents, cleansers, mild chemicals, drill press, levels, bench grinder, and numerous hand and power tools common to the trades.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED or HiSET).

  • Minimum of 2 years trades training and general maintenance service duties.

  • Massachusetts Hoisting License 2C

  • Current Class D Driver’s License

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement. Wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
