We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people’s lives.

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Research and Development team, providing pivotal support to the ongoing activities around our future growth as a business, with a focus on new product introduction, research and development processes, efficiency milestones and programme plans. In this role, you will manage and execute small to medium sized projects from inception to delivery, including all stages of planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. Taking responsibility for projects as applicable, you will oversee stakeholder engagement, communications planning, risk mapping, project schedules and timelines, and facilitate progression of project related activities. You will also maintain all relevant project documentation, including but not limited to project plans, schedule/work breakdown structures, meeting minutes, and reports, providing progress updates to teams as appropriate.

To be successful, you will bring experience from a project based role and will have been a key part of a project team, with a good understanding and experience of applying project management methodologies. While experience of a regulated industry would be useful in bringing understanding and awareness of change control frameworks it is not essential. An advanced level education is required, along with strong skills in the MS Office space, with experience in MS Project preferable.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a small team, but also interact on a wider business scale, leading and influencing where necessary. You will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing and dynamic environment.

We’re looking for someone who is excited at the thought of joining a team at the forefront of Diabetes Care innovation, and working in a fantastic modern and innovative environment.

In addition to a competitive salary, Abbott offers a highly attractive benefits package which includes a defined-contribution pension scheme, a share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme which you can tailor to your own requirements. Of course, things are a little different right now, but in general, we like to help our employees live life to the fullest, and therefore we offer a range of optional initiatives for you to get involved in, including onsite allotments, couch to 5k campaigns, bee keeping, yoga and more!
