Grain Department Manager responsible for the grain origination and sales, hedging, logistics, and compliance for a growing grain business. This position ensures Grain financial performance and profitable growth. Looking for a strong leader with excellent people development and grain merchandising experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and develop grain merchandising staff

• Manages purchases and sales of grain commodities for all locations and p rovides market intelligence and business information to sales and operations

• Manages grain customer pricing policies to maximize gross and service income

• Develops hedging strategies and execution of risk management programs through use of futures and options

• Makes grain department recommendations for improvements and capital expenditure

  REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 5-7 years of grain industry experience

• Grain industry expertise in grain origination, storage, merchandising , hedging, logistics, and compliance

• Successful experience developing, leading employees

• Must be available to work hours beyond those considered normal and available for travel

• On site position based in Winterset
