Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Winter Park, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the hospitality industry. The position is located in Winter Park, Florida. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for handling various accounts payable duties, including processing vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval.

• Reconciliation of vendor statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

• Review and verification of expense reports and employee reimbursements.

• Management of vendor relationships, responding to inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner.

• Assistance with month-end close activities, including the preparation of accruals and reconciliations.

• Preparation and maintenance of accounts payable reports.

• Development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.

• Identification and recommendation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function.

• Use of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting for various accounts payable tasks.

• Regular monitoring of customer accounts and execution of appropriate actions.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar within the hospitality industry • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) • Demonstrated ability to code invoices accurately • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
