Technical Writer (Part time)

Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive.

Fluent in photo editing software such as Adobe Photo shop or equivalent.

Minimum of two years equivalent experience in a similar role or college courses considered.

Tasks and Work Activities:

Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.

Create, modify and maintain technical documentation records and files or work and revisions.

Work with project teams to support, collaborate and edit, standardize or make changes to material prepared to select the AVC standardization processes.

Select photos, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.

Develop or maintain online documentation of processes.

Analyze developments in specific field to determine need for revisions in previously published material.

Develop or maintain online documentation or processes.

Confer with IT Manager to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.

Review and edit existing processes, work orders and technical documents as required as well as create and implement new documents for internal AVC IT practices.

Ensure current versions of documents are available to the technical team and being appropriately controlled and used for Training and Reference.

Thinking creatively, organizing, planning and prioritizing work, developing, objectives and strategies making decisions and solving problems, updating and using relevant knowledge interpreting the meaning of information for others judging the qualities of things, services or people.

Tools and Technology:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive.

Fluent in photo editing software such as Adobe Photo shop or equivalent.

Multi-line phone system/Cell phone

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Refer to the Employee Handbook for PPE requirements. AVC may release additional PPE requirements or policy based on unforeseen cases. Traveling employees must also comply with the AVC Travel Handbook.

Education:

Minimum of two years equivalent experience in similar role or college courses considered.
