Robert Half Staff Accountant in Winter Garden, Florida

Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant based in Winter Garden, Florida. This role primarily revolves around managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to the efficient financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and report any discrepancies

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Prepare and post journal entries, providing detailed explanations for each entry

• Conduct month-end close procedures in a timely and accurate manner

• Utilize various software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data

• Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts, taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a professional and timely manner

• Collaborate with other team members to streamline and improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations.

• Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of Business Central and/or QuickBooks

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
