This position is for a Structural Engineering Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Intern, the individual will perform dynamic analysis of commercial aircraft seating products. Learn different analysis techniques that improves the effectiveness of the analysis team supporting in product development and certification efforts. This position is onsite, in Winston-Salem, NC.

What You Will Do:

• Supports in supplying stress and structural analysis results of product development design configurations to the design and certification groups based on the provided geometry model.

• Supports in performing structural static testing of component and subsystems to support validation of dynamic FEA models.

• A member of a team assisting in Developing, designing, planning, and implementing, processes, procedures, work instructions, etc. utilizing standard engineering or technology principles to complete assignments.

• Participates in technology transfer initiatives with R&D and Product Engineering as a structural analysis.

• Will support senior FEA engineer, Interprets analysis results and converts them to design change suggestions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge of analysis packages such as Altair Hyperworks, LsPrepost, LsDyna and Nastran.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Must be a commutable distance to Winston - Salem, NC to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
