TE Connectivity in Winston-Salem, NC is looking for a Manager, Quality & Reliability Engineering to find and develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service. Teach new suppliers on how to work with TE (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.). Extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development. Help drive selection and development of the best total cost supply option in the region where the commodity or service is consumed. Keep abreast of emerging market options and inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options. Own, lead and execute the TE Best & Scope 3 molding supplier initiative globally. Analyze data to identify and prioritize opportunities for execution. Scale activities across multiple suppliers. Summarize and present project to executive leadership. Lead and manage 2-3 productivity improvement projects simultaneously. Analyze manufacturing overhead including cycle times, components, assembly, inspection etc. Collaborate across teams and build rapport to implement savings & Improvements. Supports the design and development of proposed process changes. Develop cost estimations (should-cost or clean sheet) and identify, summarize, and present cost gaps to key stakeholders. Benchmark internal, competitor and supplier parts to identify gaps and/or technology advancements for responsible commodity. Requires 50% domestic/international travel. Telecommuting permitted.
Requirements :Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain, or related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.
Special Requirements : Requires 2 years of experience with the following:
Supplier identification and development in accordance with commodity strategy and lean tools for all categories in North America.
Broad knowledge in progressive stamping, plating, plastic injection molding.
Identifying process cost drivers (raw material, manufacturing processes, secondary processes, etc.) and opportunities for cost reduction.
Reviewing APQP documentation, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Gage R&R, process capabilities.
Data analytics – ability to summarize large amounts of data and present thoughtful solutions. Use PowerBI to develop new and modify existing dashboards.
Analyzing data to identify and prioritize opportunities for execution.
Cost estimation, cost breakdown analysis or clean sheet methodologies.
Requires 50% domestic/international travel. Telecommuting permitted.May require employment and background checks.

Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
