Howmet Aerospace Technical Plant Sales Representative in Winsted, Connecticut

SUMMARY

This role directly supports the facility on all customer matters which could impact customer relations including formulating quoting strategies, pricing, and on time delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain intercompany relationships with regards to invoicing, pricing and finance

Complete coordination of assigned account portfolio - all forecasting of firm and anticipated requirements, resolution of open items and ensuring proper order management.

Communicate to customers and internal peers on open items and key projects.

Interface regularly with Winsted Engineering for new order awareness and purchase order checklist

Interface regularly with Howmet Account sales managers and customer representatives

Act as Howmet Machining’s primary representative and liaison for customer issues.

Create requisitions for purchase orders, release and book sales orders. Directly responsible to process all orders and changes to orders.

Ensure compliance with corporate and plant protocols including EHS, SOX, Ethics of Business conduct, ABS, ASAT, ISO and export control.

Submit invoices to corporate finance for payment

Own, drive and formulate quoting strategies for specific parts, including obtaining accurate costs, piecing together an approach and driving the internal review process.

Negotiate commercial issues which arise in the normal course of business.

Assist in the coordination of customer visits.

Assist in managing accounts receivable balances.

Act as customer advocate internally to other functions.

Other assignments as required to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Degree in technical field preferred

3-5 years of experience

Strong excel and computer skills

Strong organizational skills and communication skills.

Ability to manage “big picture” plus daily tactical elements.
