In the role of Process Engineer II, you would be located at our Winona Minnesota Manufacturing Advance Development Center, the home of Watlow's Electronics and Communication expertise. About the Role As a Process Engineer II, you willfocus on sustaining processes and equipment through improvement and restoration activities. You will manage your own activities and take accountability for completing routine tasks that are part of an overall project or process. As part of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, you will be a team member who is relied on to have a thorough understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity, and timing. You will contribute to the team's success by sharing your previously acquired knowledge. Your Key Responsibilities Serve as an active team member within assigned Operations value stream. Provide Product and/or Process-specific Subject Matter expertise in support of decisions and activities. Lead Manufacturing Engineering activities to restore and improve processes and equipment. Lead Manufacturing Engineering experiments in support of Manufacturing Technology improvements identified to be critical to advancement of the Product and/or Manufacturing Technology Roadmaps. Train Engineers, Technicians, and production employees on products, processes, procedures, and equipment. Assure that equipment is operating properly, correct and/or report malfunctions, and may assist others in complex set up/repair operations. Identify and address process and equipment availability / up time gaps to improve process capacity. Support implementation of new equipment and technology for process execution and/or analysis. Manage your own time, prioritize workflows and be accountable for own results. Train Technicians and production employees on products, processes, procedures, and equipment. Required Qualifications Minimum of bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience, or 2-year degree plus equivalent experience. Basic PCBA assembly equipment electro/mech nical applied knowledge. Problem solving and applied equipment troubleshooting skills. Desired Qualifications - Applied Knowledge of: Printed circuit boards, electronic components, and basic printed circuit technology assembly procedures. Circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Electronic component terminology, placement, and markings. Functional tester support and data management. Product labeling processes and equipment. Machines, and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Programming language specific to C+, C#, Python, or LabVIEW. Mechanical design aptitude. Smart factory tools. (Manufacturing Execution System). Workmanship acceptability requirements and industry standards such as IPC 610. The procedures for the safe handling of electronic components or assemblies.
