Position Overview: This position is responsible for the preparation, evaluation, and microscopic interpretation of cells to detect cancer and other abnormalities (e.g. benign tumors, infectious agents, inflammatory processes, etc.) under the direction of the pathologist. Is responsible for the day to day operations of the cytology area. Assists in data collection and analysis to support regulatory requirements, quality assurance, continuous systems improvement and special projects. Maintains skills, knowledge, and proficiency in cytology specimen collection, preparation, and analysis.
