BD is currently hiring a Field Service Engineer to cover Surrey/Hampshire/M3 corridor area.

This role sits within the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business unit and the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of large, complex robotic drug storage systems.

This role has arisen due to additional headcount and this is a great opportunity to join a leading healthcare company and an experienced team.

About the role

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover Surrey/Hampshire/M3 corridor to assist in the installation and maintenance of large, complex robotic drug storage systems and assisting operating staff with day to day queries and fault diagnosis either remotely or on site.

Your role will be to look after our clients who are using the BD Rowa™ Robotics Stock control system.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with the projects and installation teams to undertake commissioning of new customer sites.

• Establish and maintain good customer business relationships.

• Able to trouble shoot complex issues, to determine root cause and implement resolution.

• On-site or remote fault diagnosis.

• Complete onsite planned preventative maintenance to a schedule.

• Achieve individual and team target goals

• Ordering and maintaining a stock holding of parts.

• Adhering to health and safety requirements.

• Work away from home with occasional overnight stays, in UK and Ireland as well as training in Germany.

• Occasional on-call weekend and rota working will be required.

About you

The successful candidate will hold an Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent. You will have previously worked in a similar role and will have excellent customer-facing and customer skills. You will be able to arrange your own diary and priorities your appointments. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to set and manage customer expectations. You will manage your own stock and spares and have experience updating online record systems. You need to be decisive and able to work without supervision. You will have experience in electro-mechanical systems fault diagnosis, repair, servicing and installation. You will be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
