Robert Half Staff Accountant in Windsor Locks, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our manufacturing industry, located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks ranging from processing customer applications to maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintain and manage the general ledger for financial transparency and compliance

• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and properly documented

• Handle month-end close processes to keep our financial records up-to-date and accurate

• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform accounting duties efficiently and effectively

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.

Requirements • Must possess experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Proficiency in maintaining and updating General Ledger is required

• Must be capable of preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is mandatory

• Knowledge of NetSuite software is essential

• Familiarity with Oracle financial software is desirable

• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is required

• Experience with SAP software is a plus

• Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience in the Manufacturing industry is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must be able to multitask and manage time effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure is required.
