What You Will Do

  • Conduct EMC/EMI analysis, testing, and troubleshooting for aerospace systems and components to ensure compliance and reliability.

  • Develop and implement EMC/EMI control plans and test procedures to mitigate electromagnetic interference risks effectively.

  • Perform EMC/EMI testing in accordance with industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, DO-160) to validate electromagnetic compatibility.

  • Collaborate with design and development teams to integrate EMC/EMI considerations into product designs, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Evaluate and recommend materials, components, and design modifications to improve EMC/EMI performance based on analysis and testing results.

  • P repare technical reports, documentation, and presentations on EMC/EMI analysis and test results for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices in EMC/EMI engineering to maintain compliance and enhance capabilities.

  • Assist in the development of EMC/EMI training programs for engineering teams to promote awareness and understanding.

  • Support regulatory compliance activities and participate in audits and reviews as needed to ensure adherence to applicable standards and requirements.

    Qualifications/Experience Needed :

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

    Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with EMC/EMI test equipment and software (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, EMC test chambers).

  • Familiarity with simulation tools for EMC/EMI analysis.

  • knowledge of EMC/EMI principles, standards, and testing methods (e.g., MIL-STD-461, DO-160).

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and certification processes for aerospace products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
