Job Functions
The role will require you to leverage your engineering and leadership backgrounds to develop Quest Global’s structural analysts. Among the detailed responsibilities will be the following:
Build and maintain a motivated team that is prepared to execute on a series of diverse and technically challenging assignments
Promote consistent organizational culture of teamwork, accountability, change championship, and customer focus
Drive compliance to Quest Global's standards and processes
Communicate the purpose of the organization to new and seasoned engineers, identify talent, and inspire leadership in high potential team members
Create forecasts for workload, headcount, recruiting needs, financial predictions, software and hardware requirements, and infrastructure requirements
Track and report metrics for the team; including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, productivity improvement, and financial metrics
Determine headcount requirements for the team; interview, hire, and induct/on-board new employees
Make resource assignments balancing the customer needs, team member experience, and opportunities for learning and growth
Work with Technical Leaders to define capability development requirements (including IDP) for the team and implement and track improvement initiatives
Mentor a team of mixed capability Quest Global's engineers in the structures process by proactively engaging team members and developing processes, tools and best practices
Promote team growth by focusing team on high quality execution and effective project management Work with Strategic Account Management and Program Leader on strategies and proposals for expanding work scope
General Responsibilities
Learn, understand, and apply our customer’s standard design and repair procedures
Support quotation efforts with accurate estimates of design time required to complete tasks
Make design change recommendations, document the work, and present the findings to our clients
Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement and take ownership for implementation
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a technical BS degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of aerospace experience in the structural analysis discipline with demonstrated leadership ability. Experience within the Gas Turbine Engine industry is preferred.
The following criteria will be additionally used to identify and assess top candidates:
Understanding of engineering principles which can include: Design, Structures, Performance Analysis, Operability
Experience leading engineering teams
Experience completing structural analysis/design tasks in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred
Familiarity with gas turbine fundamentals
Experience with Quest Global’s Project Management process including Project Planning, Monitoring & Control, Communication, and Record Keeping
Experience with Quest Global’s Technical Review process
Manage the projects, create quotations, estimate schedule and budget for tasks, assign project tasks to team members, track metrics
Project management, personnel management, alignment of team members’ efforts, set and evaluates annual goals, performance feedback, hire and onboard, and strategic business decision-making
Proven Ability to manage the customers’ perceptions and showcase Quest Global’s achievements
Proficiency with MS-Office Suite Tools, MS Project and PowerPoint Documents
Ability to motivate others and clearly establish expectations
