Position Title: Senior Engineer

Location: 175 Addison Rd, Ste. 6F, Windsor, CT 06095 and unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.

Position Responsibilities: Conduct complex mechanical engineering tasks, to design and develop Control Panel – Bi-Directional and Electric Chargers to meet functional, reliability and durability goals. Configuration engineering / Component designs related to Fabrications, packaging, and installation designs. Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand and document the project requirements. Perform design calculations, initiate ideas, support DFMEA and develop validation plan for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. Understand the technical requirements and communicate with supplier for the development of components. Conduct design reviews with the stakeholders, communicate results in a concise and accurate manner. Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, purchasing during part development. Work to release ordering drawings in GTCC PLM. Support Engineering Services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems. Be accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards.

Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, PLUS two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Interpretation of blueprints, technical drawings, schematics & computer-generated reports; creation of mechanical & electrical design documents in CAD & PLM; calculations for electrical signal loss determination; AutoCAD; Creo; MS Office; SolidWorks; Lode Data; Bentley Comms, and; ESRI. Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s degree PLUS five (5) years of described experience. Travel to unanticipated client locations approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
