A DAY IN THE LIFE Our Windsor, CO office is currently seeking an Environmental Technician (Scientist) / Soil Sampling with a minimum of one year of related experience and a strong science background to support a variety of upstream oil and gas projects in the northeastern front range of Colorado and potentially other areas (UT, WY, NM, & TX).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to support environmental compliance projects that involve environmental assessments and permitting for county, state, and federally regulated projects.

As a key member of the 2DOT team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: * The successful applicant will be able to coordinate collect surface and subsurface samples from many oil and gas locations. This key responsibility will require the utilization of the following pieces of field equipment (but not limited to): - Operation of a hand auger to collect soil samples at depths of up to 6 feet. - Operation of a handheld photoionization detector (PID) for the screening of soil samples for volatile organic hydrocarbons (VOCs). - Operation of a Trimble GPS device to collect spatial GIS data needed for sample locations. * Collect detailed field notes of daily field sample collection activities. * Provide daily reports that include field notes and photographs of sampling locations. * Care for and maintenance of field equipment. * Furnish personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the client. * The position will require travel in a company field vehicle to oil and gas locations in northeastern CO. * Ability to work concurrently on several projects each at different phases. * Perform site inspections for Stormwater (SW) compliance including evaluating control measures and stabilization evaluations. * Perform site inspections for Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) compliance including basic equipment or berm measurements. * Conduct SW control measure repairs. * Compile SW and SPCC reports and Visio drawings * Perform other duties as requested.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. *Requires a valid driver's license and successful clearance of a criminal background check, motor vehicle r cords check, and drug test. * Bachelor's degree in environmental science or another related field (desired, but not required). * Minimum of 1 year of related experience (or education). * A strong background of coursework and/or experience in environmental science, soil sampling or soil studies, or another related field and field data collection. * Data entry, data collection, and excellent oral and written communication skills are desired. * Demonstrated ability to perform basic data analyses, compile data, and write technical documents. * Demonstrated ability to use and create spreadsheets or databases to summarize data and create tables. * Experience with electronic data collection (e.g. tablet). * Safeland USA certification. * Safety-minded. * Experience with surface and subsurface soil sample collection, preservation, and documentation. Experience with navigating health and safety considerations regarding Colorado's 811 locates and ground disturbance requirements. * Experience working with Colorado ECMC, and Colorado Oil and Gas rules and regulations. * Experience and a strong ability to effectively communicate with regulatory agencies and clients.... for full information follow application link.
